Today was totally fun. I think I enjoy my family more than any other people I hang around. It's so easy to just 'be' with them. We hiked papago and then explored the old TB hospital and Mill ave in full swing. My uncle is hilarious. Total dry and self depricating humor that catches you by surprise and before you know it you're laughing hysterically.
Here is his senior portrait. My grandma always showcases the visiting family member by bringing out their senior portrait. I think I kind of look like the Schrim side, even though I'm pretty much a carbon copy of my father.
Mom was tired driving home so I sang songs from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the good one, the one with Gene Wilder. "I Want it Now" and "Pure Imagination."
I must have annoyed her to the point of severe driving concentration. No time for dozing off when you're gritting your teeth.
Then we tuned into KBAQ and tried to guess the song. Two seconds into a piano concerto and I said immediately, "Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto no. 2, first movement."
It's amazing. We blasted it as loudly as we would with any Led Zeppelin song.
Funny how much changes in 2 years.
